Linda Apriletti

Micanopy, FL

"In both my plein air and studio paintings, I am trying to bring a fresh and accurate portrayal of the many moods, quality of light and clarity of color of the changing seasons in Florida. I want to draw the viewer into my paintings and perhaps re-kindle a personal memory. "

Background Information

Miami Springs native Linda Apriletti is best known for her plein air oil landscapes of Florida, in particular those from south Florida and the Everglades. She says painting outside is critical to helping her observe and understand patterns in nature in her studio work and outside studies. Although Florida is Linda's focus, she regularly paints in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Martha's Vineyard and enjoys an increasing public demand for that work as well. People find peace in her paintings and often remark how they feel they can just walk into one.

Linda Apriletti's work has been included at exhibits through Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Park, Museum of the Everglades, Biscayne Nature Center, Paint the Parks, Oil Painters of America, and Salon International. Linda was Artist in Residence at Big Cypress National Preserve in 2012.
